Call me crazy, but germ fuzzes sound "organic" to me, while silicon-based fuzzes sound more metallic or whatever.

I like them both, and I also like language.

DOES YOUR PEDAL SOUND LIKE KALE OR OATS?!

Personally I love it when people describe a fuzz as organic, it lets me know two things: 1. that I don't want it because a fuzz should always have a element of sounding like pure electricity  2. you are using it to cover up for crompy building skills and a bad attitude. :grumpy:

I only use organic when talking about how a pedal feels to play. As a substitute for natural. Like it feels right? I don't know. And I don't think I've ever actually said it, but in my mind that's what it means.
90% of sound adjectives make no sense to me.

the way i describe the sound of a pedal in my head makes total sense and then i begin to articulate it out loud and hate myself.

There is NOTHING organic about anything in a pedal. More like orgasmic. I like that term better.

Also FUCK WHOLE FOODS.

DMM repeats as they progressively drift and smear into that beautiful distortion, when the Feedback knob is really high = organic.

But yeah, you could rename this thread "Fuck the Ibanez OOD-9"
