I've been so busy lately, even though I'm not in class right now. I've only opened ableton, I haven't even clicked around yet

uuggghh I'm sorry I've been so creatively braindead lately, is there any sort of theme or concept or style you had in mind? between this and my band I've just been writing and ditching crappy ideas for weeks now.
I've made a patch that generates random tones and bitcrushes/delays them for garbage robot babble toanz but it would be pretty unfair to start with something atonal  i might see if i can limit it to pitches in a certain key

Maybe start off with a drum track? Thats honestly my weak area so this is sorta passing the buck. also a general vibe to shoot for. I'd be happy to do something outside my normal thing. Push my boundaries so to speak.

ableton 8 is all i use for my DAW / vst hosting. but, my studio isnt up yet. when it is no longer in pieces. i would love to join.
i think the best thing i could contribute is either guitar riffs or weird synth stuff, arps etc

Once you start a serious audioware pirate collection...

like 6 years ago i started downloading the entire VSL collection...took a year, and i had high speed net.

then it was released as part of konakt complete and vastly superior in every way, though essentially the same patches

aaand of course i didn't get a damn thing done this weekend. i have a girl to blame though...

we all can throw whatever out there. i'm hoping i'll take some chord progressions i've put together that i haven't figured out any other song parts to fit with (by that i mean just being stuck w/ one song part, verse, whatever) and letting others add to it. if any of you guys are in that can't-find-a-goddamn-drummer scenario i'd love to mess with adding phat beatz to stuff you're working on. just gotta make sure you use a click so it doesn't vary in tempo...

Count me in. I'm on ableton myself too, and currently into shoegaze, synth & experimental things. I mainly on guitar with a so-so skills and synths, terrible on that one but i love experimenting with them. Not too bad on drum programming. Not sure how we do this but let's go! Should i start off with anything at all to get this thing started? I mean it's the second page of the thread already for god's sake

I'm having a hard time figuring out the program, I've gone through many tutorials but they don't help me as much as I hoped (tutorial and learn on yer own is hard for me)
