Hey dude, my AB-synth is not on my gig board - I could send you mine if you want to try it out for a bit.

I see what you mean about the OK. It is a stacker. The Truly beautiful Disaster's feedback loop only works with another pedal in the loop. As for more stabile, it can be tuned to not arpreggiate as a note decays. For synth fuzz, I preferred the wolf computer (4 knob). That is just a preferance though, the TBD is more lofi and less full in my experience. However the clean blend and the feedback loop make it excellent for getting one of a kind sounds. The Rocket does have excellent synthy sounds as well, that combined with the TBD would yield some extreme and awesome tones, especially with the Rocket in the loop of the TBD!

This probably isn't helping explain why I liked the wolf computer... :lol: I found I could more easily get interesting and stabile octave down lofi synth fuzz. But hey, you might be able to get stability out of the TBD, it is more versatile.

I had very good results with the TBD with cheap multi effects units in the loop.

I don't have one anymore but when I did I stuck a Pandora's box in the loop and had it setup with flanger and delay it was all :!!!: and shit.
I still have the Pandora's box, now i need another feedback looper

This. I own a few synth fuzz sound pedals and this has a lot more to it than one suspects. Motor boating oscillation, sure. UFO landing bleep, sure. And squeals like a horny mutant pig, it does. Interactive octave down bass sounds with vol pot turned a tad down, yes, pretty heavy low end, too.

AND You can have that by simply stomping on the second footswitch without unwanted extra pedalboard tap dancing between stuff. And the straight fuzz sound it's got is a crushing saturated hi gain fuzz-tortion if You're even a little into that (of course You are since You're here) ;)

@goroth:
Thanks man, that's very very kind of you! :)
I might take you up on that offer but for now I first want to see what comes out of the list that I posted (not to complicate things any further). :)

@PumpkinPieces:
Cool, that's some very helpful info, still there's some things I don't quite grasp about the Truly Beautiful Disaster v.s. Beautiful Disaster v.s. Wolf Computer so I'm hoping you could elaborate on this. :)

In the last part of this video Devi Ever switches on the feedback loop switch on the TBD and uses her hand to control the eye thingy while there seems to be nothing plugged into the feedback loop, so I assume that part of the circuit still works without anything plugged in?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6sASuZH2Ck

Or maybe if I'd just connect the send and return of the feedback loop with a patch cable would that work?
Does the eye thingy work well if you control it with your feet?
These are the only things that would make me consider the TBD over the BD, I don't think I'll sacrifice a pedal and board space to use something in the feedback loop, I'd rather get a separate feedback looper and loop my entire pedalboard through it then.

I'm thinking in most settings the Wolf Computer has this dying Atari sound at the tail of the notes (which I think is cool as well) so the oscillation doesn't stay stable, or can it do this too? (sorry about the French, I mean the stuff the guy does at about 5.30)

@Bassus Sanguinis:
The descriptions sound really cool but I don't know honestly, I can't seem to find the synthyness in it, in all the video's I watched it came across more like a Grungy / Garage Rock type sound to me and the oscillations also seem to be too much out of control for what I want to do, I guess it's probably not the one for me. :idk:

the TBD is even sicker with another fuzz run into it. and/or with a distortion in the feedback loop.

The wolf computer is my favorite fuzz. PERIOD. Synth sounds and garage rock tones are all I use it for. If you push it with a boost you can get some pretty controllable synth sounds from it. Depending on how you have the sag/voltage set, you can get dirty synth leads or bass sounds.

My favorite thing to do is get nice dirty lead sound going and run it through a couple pitch-shifters: MASSIVE FUZZ

You have 4 if i recall correctly? I have 2 :lol:

Wolf Computers?
I catched the small 4 knob one (MXR style enclosure?), are there differences between them then, besides the boost on the Deluxe and different labelings / names for the controls on the big and the small one?

Sadly I'm down to 3 :lol:

There are some slight differences between them. The original big-box had some oscillation bleed-through, but it also had some of the best tones. And I'm pretty sure this the version that's available in most clones. (I think some people have worked out the oscillation bleed through problem, though)

Then there were the two knobbies. The bias and gain were fixed on that one, so you just have volume and sag/voltage. The real magic in the wolf computer is how interactive the tone controls are, so I would suggest not going with one of these unless you're only interested in the wilder, less controlled setting on the wolf-computer.

Then he figured out a way to fix the oscillation bleed-through. These sound excellent, but not as good as the original to my ear (I can't remember what was off about them, it's been too long since I've had one of those). This was also the final version.

The deluxe had a built in high-five plus as well. This is the version I have now and it was modified by fuzzhugger for better bass response, it's the funnest pedal I've ever played, so I'm probably not the best person to judge how well it compares to other things. I love my wolf-computer :love:

Cool, well, we'll see what mine does when it gets here, I'm happy it's the small enclosure no oscillation bleed one and I wouldn't know about the differences in sound as I never tried any of them, I'll just be happy with this one, or not. :lol:

Is there anybody who can elaborate on this still (see story below)?

Well, the Wolf Computer got in today and I'm loving it! :)
There's so many sounds in there, crazy shit. :whoa:
So far I got it to do that synthy sound I like from the Fix'd Fuzz Deluxe, a broken sitar, a noise synth, dying Atari notes, (flutey sounding) completely gated compressor style popping notes, synth lead sounds and more, very cool!
The only thing I still need to work out is getting those sub octave synth type sounds, it doesn't seem to trigger that well with my guitar (sometimes it triggers the wrong notes and the range seems to be quite limited).
The free oscillation part is also not 100% working for me yet as the oscillation is substantially louder than the notes I play and I can't get the oscillation to be gated enough so it will duck fast enough when I play a note, it's not completely sounding the way I'd like it to (like on the French video I posted).
Great pedal! :thumb:

So I got a Dwarfcraft Shiva and a LAL Super Oscillo Fuzz in, both are not my bag I guess.
The Shiva has no gain control and lacks a bit of punch in my opinion, it seems to be quite compressed, also the way it oscillates is not what I'm looking for.
I like the Wolf Computer better than the Super Oscillo Fuzz, easier to dial in, has more sounds I'd use, etc etc.
Next up are the other LAL fuzzpedals and the Unpleasant Surprise, curious to find out what they'll bring. :)
