Sadly Emilia Clarke (Danerys Targareon/khalesi/Dragon chick) has it in her contract to no longer do any nude scenes. So season one is all you get for dragon boobs.

Ok so I may be a total geek for knowing that. Whatev :p

The only thing that bums me out is that there are only 5 books out now, and the author is not looking to healthy. I hope he finishes the story.

Well, that and it takes him forever to put each book out. Was hoping that with the show being made he'd move a little faster on the next ones.

Bummer bout the boobs. I can't imagine the shitstorm there would be if Martin didnt finish the story. How many books are supposed to be released?

I think 2 more, but don't quote me on that. I have no idea how he's going to wrap everything up in two books even if they are huge.

Fuck yeah, I love me some Game of Thrones. I saw the first season before knowing anything about the books. Then I read the first 3 books before last season. Then I read book 4 before this season. My wife hasn't read any of the books, but loves the show. My friends are pretty evenly divided among those who have read the books and those who haven't, but everyone I know who has seen the show loves it.

I'm totally happy with the first episode.

I love how they show the Unsullied and the nipple scene
I have no problem with them revealing Barristan like that, it works better for TV
The scene between Tyrion and Tywin was amazing and heart-wrenching
Mance Rayder is not like I pictured him, not sure about him
Tormund Giantsbane was perfect

GOT fucking RULES. HARD.
Never read the books and have no plans to, I think it would totally bum me out if I had an inkling of what's about to go down.

AWESOME scene. It sets such a tone for the rest of the season knowing that conversation went down between them.

Kinda wish that I hadn't read the books, even though I really enjoyed them, because you guys who haven't read them have NO IDEA what's coming. Aw man, shit gon go down.

It's been a tough wait for the return of GoT. I've read the first four books and overall, I've been happy with what's been included and what's been left out of the HBO series. The geek in me always wants more, but the producers do justice to the source material given that they have just over twenty hours per season. It's true that they are splitting book three into two seasons as there is no way they could cram all of the awesomeness of Storm of Swords into twenty hours. Books four and five cover the same timeline and feature different sets of major characters, so I am assuming that seasons 5-7 will be a mashup of both books.

As for George R.R. Martin shuffling off this mortal coil before finishing the books, the producers of the show have been told the ending and a basic outline of how the major story arcs play out. I fully expect the series to wrap before the final book.

I really envy the people who have no idea what's coming this season........

George RR Martin has been pretty slow at writing the books in the past, but I'm sure he has a contingency plan for if he dies, like the remaining general plot written out or something. Plus it's not like he's THAT old and there should only be two books left.
