Yea definitely skip lost. Watch game of thrones, boardwalk empire, breaking bad, peep show, trailer park boys, or walking dead. Or all is the best decision.

I watched Lost and loved it for the first few seasons. Then it was okay. Then the last season is sort of frustrating - you get the impression that the writers were trying their best to stay 'ahead' of the audience after about season 3. Having said that I would still recommend watching the show since it's a fun/intriguing/entertaining show for most of the series. The ending wasn't what most people wanted, but no ending would live up to expectations at that point. Plus they don't answer a ton of questions, which is the part that upset me more than anything. Give it 3-4 episodes and see what you think

But you should absolutely be watching motherfucking Game of Thrones. Holy fuck that show is amazing.

Many friends told me first to buy a television and watch Lost when the first season came. Bought it on DVD aftterwards when season three came and by then my friends were already telling me not to ruin it and watch further than the first season. But should I watch that and quit it there? Why bother at all??

have only watched the first season of game of thrones but it was pretty awesome, aside from how they had to off characters right and left because of actors bailing... (that's at least the gossip reasoning i've heard...)

I enjoyed the first four seasons of Lost. Great acting and casting. My advice is to watch the 1st season and if you like it keep going. If you don't like it find something else to watch. My current favorite show is Breaking Bad.

Been a while, but I think all of the major deaths in season one were in the book as well.
