The first movie is a pretty solid adventure film, and Empire is superior in every way. As for the rest, if I want to watch an intergalactic puppet show I'll go with Muppets in Space
It has a better soundtrack too...

sadly, unless you have it on vhs, the original trilogy is lost to us. I totally understand why people don't get into any of the movies now. What I don't get is how Lucas decided to fuck it up this badly. I blame the Christmas special.

I liked Abrams' Star Trek, and Cloverfield, and Super 8. One thing I realized early on about Lost was how Jack and Sawyer were so obviously 80s Cyclops and Wolverine, with Kate (Jean Grey) in the middle. I knew then that I would probably be giving him a free pass for just about anything. I think it's a good choice, and it's not like anything about the franchise is sacred anymore anyway.

I'll go see them. But that's not saying much because I would go see them if Lucas did them knowing they would be colossal pieces of shit.
I'm going to just keep telling myself that there is absolutely no chance that Abrams can fuck these movies up worse than Lucas did.

They've been recycling all starwars shit for upcoming generations for as long as I can remember. I guess it's about time they come up with something new.
But personally, they should have let star wars die a quiet, honorable death long ago before they ruined it.
