thus my initial ROFL. there's no such thing as a 12-gauge bullet, and 12-gauge shotgun shells can be loaded with anything from slugs to eensy bird shot that's 2-3mm.

fun fact: a 12-gauge shotgun slug can go RIGHT THROUGH A FUCKING ENGINE BLOCK. IIRC they're not allowed in war under the Geneva Conventions.

Also, you can cut regular shells open, pour out the shot, melt some wax and fill it back up with a shot/wax mixture. BAM, INSTANT WAX SLUG, SUCKA.

Anyway, I wonder if the detonating shell could propel bits of the can out as armor-piercing shrapnel.
BAN THESE ASSAULT CANS.

When I was in high school, my family had a couple of 12 gauge Remingtons around for the local rattlesnake population. Someone gave my dad a dozen or so slug shells...I used one on a 55 gal. water barrel. Impressive doesn't begin to describe the result...the barrel was blown in half. Literally.

my Mossberg 590 is 12 gauge. i've only used it to shoot trap though. i guess it would be fun to go and shoot bigger things, but i'm not a huge fan of nature. and this part of Cali you'd have to get in the woods to do large shooting like that.

oddly enough, ranges don't offer "shoot the shit out of random things" alleys.
