I play DOTA 2 every now and then when I can. I played the original DOTA back in middle school.

I played cs since retail release, version 1.0 when I was 13. Played competitively in 1.5, 1.6, and source. Traveled all over the fucking place and was lucky enough to transfer from 1.6 to source into a sponsored team and got to travel and stay in hotel for free. Played in tourneys in Toronto, Montreal, Dallas, New York, Philadelphia, Denver, Los Angeles, Virginia Beach, and a shit ton of random small towns all over the east coast.

Then I graduated.

how is everyone feeling abt the newest CS?? not sure how i feel about the shift in graffix 2 be more like TF2, but u know./

Played a little bit on beta. I hadn't played cs at that point in near 2 years. My computer had 15 fps, so I couldn't get a good judge of it. CS will never have the competitive scene it had in 1.6 though. I don't think it has much of a competitive future.

I really like CS:GO. The graphics are really great if you have a nice PC. Doesn't really remind of TF2 really. it looks most similar to Left For Dead 2 to me. The gameplay is super fun but the feel is very different at least to me. Haven't gotten used to it yet, but it's a lot of fun and it's pretty cheap I think. If you like CS I doubt this game will disappoint you.

That's super awesome! the only comp esports game I follow is Heroes Of Newerth. and I watch SC2 sometimes even though I really don't know what's going on half the time.

something about the graffix feels more 'cartoony' but its not a huge deal or anything.
i cant tell if im really bad at that game or if playing on wifi is giving some massive amount of lag that im not noticing.

They're the same genre of game. Dota 2 and Hon are much less casual versions of that game

I tried to get DOTA 2 to work for me. I don't know what I was doing wrong. I think I started a game with some guy and he started flipping out because I didn't move my characters the second the game started. I think I lagged for a second and he went apeshit. Then he broke down and started asking, "Why are you doing this to me?"

The last two computer games I played was Diablo III and LoL.

And I play minecraft! I didn't see that in the op until now.

Dota 2 is a very competitive game, and it's also team based. So if you have a new guy on your team or someone who doesn't know what they're doing it's very hard to win the game. The game is also multifaceted and complex so it's not easy to walk someone through the game or quickly instruct them on what to do. That's why the guy was getting mad at you.
If you wanna get into the game I recommend watching videos on how gameplay works or I can show you how to play!

@zrobertez it's pretty much like that in every moba game (LoL, HON, Dota 2). They're very competitive games and you have the most fun when you're winning, and not near as much when you're losing.

I just have fun when everyone is being funny and not douches. But I mostly play with two or three of my friends on a team so it's not that bad.

Me too! I've played the game for over 3 years so people usually don't whine at me. But if they're being assholes I just mute them. Not sure if dota 2 has mute features but i'm sure it must
