Overpowering bass, weak midrange response, spikey treble.

You know, hip-hop headphones.

Pretty much all of what's been said and especially this, there are better headphones for $20 dollars or less, and excellent headphones for $100 to $150 if you want high quality headphones for listening pleasure, as apposed to mastering music with. Honestly at my school alot of people have them as a status symbol, their expensive, so if you have a pair it represents wealth and style I guess.

Bottom Line: If you gave me a pair of Beats for free I'd take them to my favorite pawn shop, or give it to a friend or something. I wouldn't even open the box to see how they sound, I've used them and it's hype+advertising+stupid/uniformed consumers = profit fro the big guys.

Beats and Fuzz are non compatible, just fyi.

fuck that if you dig hiphop there's seriously nohting better to listen on. And they're really not as bad as this thread would have you believe.
yes they're a status symbol, but that doesn't make them shitty. Yes there are better headphones for the money, or less. but that doesnt mean they're not good, just overpriced.

give em a good listen, see how you dig em and go from there FUCK

yeah, people always seem to think "overrated" means "totally shit" which is lame.

the bass boost is no worse than with any other headphones along the same lines, imo and since you're getting them as a gift, it'd probably just come off as an asshole thing to do to pawn them off because you can get better ones for cheaper, because then you're wasting THEIR money.

I hope you mean Beats as in the headphones because fat beats and fuzz is the best combo.

I picked up some physical copies of their first two records from Amoeba in SF one time. That was cool.

Been a sec since I could get back to the interwebs, but thanks for the info! I am seriously out of the loop when it comes to what's popular these days. I got to see my family this morning, and just got to try out these headphones an hour ago. They are the Mixr's(?). Not bad at all. Not the best things I have ever used, but my dad would be disappointed if I rejected something he thought I would like. Happy New Year everyone!!!
