JAM Pedals Delay Llama+ has a hold switch that does not get very out of control or self-oscillate too easily.

2 that come to mind
my dirge delay, and the blend is wicked useful in this regard

the digitech time bender will freeze the repeats indefinately and not only do they not get uncontrollably loud but they actually respond to your playing and get a quieter if you want to play over them.

I use the digilog and I think it does a great job. It's easy to blend the feedback rate to ramp slower with the mix knob. I have found the oscillation is more of a swooshing/ramping sound with it though. However I do know of a site that still has 2 Corrigan'd digilogs

Culturejam Neptune Delay circuit which could be built by a sharktanker. SiB Mr. Echo which is a very dark delay, darkest I've heard, with a momentary feedback switch. The Stereo Memory Man w/ Hazarai has a few interactive modes, one mode when you press the second switch will play what you play backwards in combination with what you're playing.

The delay I've been looking at for awhile now is the Freqbox, Sonic Bits: http://www.freqbox-pedals.com/sonic-bits.html A switch for bitcrushing your signal while having clean repeats if I remember correctly.

Wow that sounds amazing.

I'm still curious about the Ricochet Delay. I can't find anything about it online but there's one in a local shop that I'm going to try out. Apparently Wondernoise is a company up in sheboygan.

I have several:

The venerable Digitech Time Bender, which you can set the feedback and mix to heel/toe positions on an expression pedal among other options, or have it feed back on the ducking delay model. Volume stays reasonable.

NoiseKickFX Guano Loco (custom thing with analog delay+warp switch, adjustable rampup on the warp with switchable resistors, plus octave fuzz+mean, superadjustble stutter trem and switchable order), the delay circuit is avaiable on its own.

Or you can get a Space Echo or Echoplex and have it modded so that a momentary switch hits the feedback/repeat to max. I have enough stuff these days that if I want that of my Space Echo I just hop it to oscillation or the verge thereof and engage the footswitch to turn the echo on on demand, leaving regular delay to regular pedals.

I got a Lunar Echo last month. Best delay I've ever had.

Haki wrote:Love the Lunar Echo. It does the more straight up analog delay sound really really well, you can get into tape delay territory with the lo-fi mode and modulation. And the momentary feedback is glorious.

Another one that's of interest is the Sitori Sonics Tapeworm. It has the crazy aliens are invading stuff on a non-momentary footswitch. I still kinda want one of those, but I love delay.

DMB Lunar Echo is amazing. :!!!:

Checked out the Sitori Tapeworm, and it sounds like a hot mess, probably a better idea on paper then in reality.

there's certainly a lot of knobs on that thing. I've also heard of some pretty sketchy build quality on Sitori Sonics pedals, but I've never owned one, and that may be just my terrible memory

SIB Mr. Echo was actually super fucking cool when I tried one.

It's called buy an M9 :P

that's the one whose name i've been trying to recall. i thought it was WAY superior to the Lunar Echo when i compared demos.

fix'd.
1. Get an expression pedal
2. Set errthang to a delay, mix all the way down on three of them
3. Toe down, set errthang max erthang
4. Explode heads.
