Very nice man. Dug that 'Apostasy' demo since the clips I heard in that making of. Great to hear it on a stage. And that second song was pretty badass altogether.
Very much liking the sounds. All too tasty.

just a quick suggestion,
Tip the sound man. I find that its a good idea to tip before you play. Also if you tip you know that if he is ever your sound man again the mix will get better and better each time as he/she gets use to your band. also if you tip I find that the sound person will be way more open to suggestions on your mix. Most sound people do this as a second job and dont get paid very well.

This's a good suggestion, but I'm not sure it would've helped in this case.
PAs in tiny bar venues don't really leave much room for making your band sound good regardless of the sound person's abilities (especially if the "sound person" really isn't even a "sound person").
The best thing to do is bring your own sound person (BYOSP).

yeah. for sure. getting our own person that knows what we want is defo a priority when we start gigging regularly/at better places.
i'm actually not that pissed about how this place turned out. it was a divey'ish bar, not a club, we wanted a smaller place to kinda rub one out and see what stuff we need to be more careful with or aware of live. it's a new way of doing things for each of us in a way. Sy's never played keys live in an originals band, Paul's got that sampler/drum pad thing he's just started using a few months ago.... i'm a bit mroe tense live 'cause there's not anything to cover when i inevitably flug notes with the Powers Of SLOP.
lulz. i trend towards Band Mother as a default anyways, but i'm SO watching everybody like a protective little chicken during breaks between songs. not 'cause i worry about them playing their stuff right, they both amaze me at how much better than me they are at their instruments, i just have more experience making sure i have effects setup right during song changeovers.
CHICKEN. MOTHER. WHTE BOY. I IS IT.

behdy, I think you guys're off to a good start. You're on the right track.
Also, I think you should have your singer be in a side project with sylnau. So, they can call themselves "Syl & Sy" or something like that.
