Alright so I'm running into a small problem that I can't figure out how to fix.
Im trying to get the tele pickup into the ring, so I screw through the ring put a spring into it and then into the pickup holes.
But this doesn't seem to work because there is nothing actually holding the pickup, up! It's just kind of sitting in there.
Not sure if that makes sense. But i just need some help installing the tele neck pickup in the LP with the ring, basically. haha.

I'm not 100% sure what you are trying to say...

This is the pickup you got, right:

If so, put the screws through the ring, put the springs on the screws, screw the screws into the holes on the sides of
the pickup, mount the ring to the guitar. Now, you should be good.
You can raise or lower the pickup by tightening or loosening the screws.

If this doesn't help try and post some pics of what's not working right.

Yeah that's what I did. The problem I'm having is that the pickup doesn't stay mounted, it basically falls out, like the screws aren't taking. I'll take photos of the screws later on and post them for you to have a look. :)

Are you sure you are using the screws that came with that pickup and not the other ones? :idk:

You can also try wrapping a LITTLE Teflon tape around the screw to see if that helps.
If not, you may have to find a larger screw.

Haha yea I'm sure.
Here are some photos...the screws just don't seem to hold it in.

Try tightening them down some more and if they still don't hold try the Teflon tape or bigger screws.

Just used some tape and it worked a charm! Thanks!

Here we go so far...I've done a pretty scrappy job I think, but tbh I don't really mind. It's my first try and I've had the body sitting there for ages so I'm just happy to be doing something with it! haha.

I've just been thinking about the wiring of the tele pickup for this. Having no prior experience with wiring, ever, how would i wire it to both the tone pot and the volume? does it go black to volume, white to tone, tone to selector? or would that not work?

You should be able to use standard 2 wire Les Paul wiring.
I'm not sure what color code GFS uses but once you find that out use a diagram like this:
https://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/main/downloads/schematics/general/humbuckers/2_hum__2_vol__2_tone__braided_2_con__3_way_toggle.pdf

Using that diagram, the braided shield is the same as your ground wire.
I'm not sure exactly what switch you are using but generally the middle position goes to the jack.
