I skipped it at first because it got canceled and didn't want to be pissed at having only 13 episodes. But the movie is good enough on its own to compensate for the early cancellation. You can watch the movie without having seen the series, but you get more out of it if you have.

As for Cabin, I might go see it as part of a 3 for 1 deal along with Hunger Games and Avengers.

i......... know NOTHING about Cabin. and i'm ok with that. i LOVE being able to go watch something that i have no spoilers or expectations on by somebody that's work i enjoy. even when he's bad (Aliens 3), i still have fun with all the Whedon's out there. there's a few people like that..... Beat Takeshi, Tarantino (fuck y'all. i LIKED Jackie Brown.), Miike Takashi.....

except Dollhouse. that was horrible. Dushku is fucking HAWT, but doesna work for me as the lead.

lol. honestly, i only watched the first 2 episodes. Dushku killed me and it wasn't that entrancing. does it get better? and did it end abruptly where i'll be pissed that they didna get to finish it off?

Don't judge Fischer by Alien 3. That's a famously doomed project.

lol. i LIKED Alien 3. sure, it's dumb and silly and totally doesn't fit into the style of Alien..... before Alien turned into Aliens Vs. Predator bullshit...... but it was FUN.

i'm realllllllllllly looking forward to Prometheus though. hope it's good.

The first 6-7 episodes aren't that great. Sort of focusing on Dushku's role play of the week while slowly building up the supporting cast and explaining the Dollhouse. Then they realized Dushku has her limitations as an actress while having a few very good ones in the rest of the cast. So it's less formulaic episode crap and more Joss Whedon continuing story line with many interesting characters goodness. The 2 part season finale is GOOD (enter Tudyk), season 2 starts off a bit meh as it forces exposition needed for the grand finale. Ending isn't abrupt, it's actually better than Buffy or Angel in terms of a proper closure.

Oh yeah, season one has an episode called Epitaph One. You might want to save that one till you've watched season 2 upto Epitaph Two, the names should give you a good enough hint as to why.

urrrrrrrrrrrr....... yeah. the No Numbers thing makes me mix them up sometimes. Alien 1, awesome, Alien 2, good actiony fun, Alien 3 Prison Bullshit was fucking HORRIBLE (and killing off Newt and Hicks was a cop out of shittiness), Alien 4 with the clones and Winona and City Of Lost Children reunion between The Midge and The Chin was hellza fun to watch.

I liked 3 a lot more than 4

Four has some well documented horror stories about it too.


Regardless, the Alien films (by sole virtue of the singular, Ridley Scott helmed epic) are fucking amazing.
