the buffer thing's a tad skeery though. i don't think any of my pedz have buffers.

Pretty much anything fuzz wise that oscillates won't work with buffers.

Would like to see a recent gut shot. Spaghetti wiring and perf board doesn't impart the finest sense of craftsmanship...

I had the Sister Tiger, the gut where as messy and the enclosure was a lot too big for that small board.
Wasn't working well in my setup so I return it.

I really like the Couple Skate. You can make it either glitched out and synthy or rico suave. And it actually tracks fairly well on bass. It sort of disappears when using it with any other dirt pedals though. I also have his 9-volt Disaster, which I enjoy more and more all the time. Sometimes I try to sell it, but then it lulls me back in. I'm going to need to get a battery adapter for the power supply if it's going to stick around for good. Thinking of trying out the Northwest Lightning in my continuing quest for an OD. Waiting for one to show up refurbished on ebay. Those deals are just too good to pass up sometimes, which how I ended up with the 9VD in the first place.

I think the dog tag is a cool idea for the name and serial # and stuff but I think it looks kinda dumb on the front of the pedal like that.

Awesome sounds though, I'd really like to try the delay as well.

Yep...it makes wiring so much easier. Hence why micros and minis usually cost as much...labor.

I love how the enclosure is that big but they still can't put the jacks on the top or the footswitch in the centre

Seriously, soldering a resistor directly to the 9v in, then directly onto the chassis of the starve pot? I'm guessing the pot has the tab broken off, meaning it us free to rotate by small amounts once the nut eventually loosens. Dc jack is also free to rotate if and when the nut loosens. See you later resistor...

Yeah, I put my two buffered pedals in a loop and the Bad Comrade is working great. Really I shouldn't worry. If I remember correctly even the refurb pedals are guaranteed, so if I have any issues I can just send it back to him.

I still keep seeing them on ebay for cheeps every few days.
