Here's a question ill tag onto this thread
over here if you buy a high end brit built guitar over the £2000 mark you lose i would say 50% of its value straight away if you decide to sell it within the first few months. obviously this depreciation slows down over time. the reason for this is that over here the majority of people who spend big dollars on a guitar purchase are invariably buying American made.
I sometimes wonder if the reverse is true for you guys across the pond, if you were to buy a high end brit built guitar would it hold its value better than some home grown talent?

Try beating vintage Laney amps in their game. Or Wal basses.

But yeah, I believe I understand Your sentiment. I've paid VAT enough to have thought about the same a few times.

For some reason british amps are cheaper in oz 2nd hand as well compared to american stuff. I know my orange is worth an extra 100-200 at least in the us where i might struggle to sell or have to sit on it for a bit here for purchase price. soooo :idk: I think it's the grass is greener on the other side syndrome like 75% atleast.

Shipping trans-Atlantic, with an insurance, VAT, etc can make a BIG difference in the prices.
