They don't benefit that much from being boosted, IMO. Would be better to add switches for the diodes on both sides, with one position removing the diodes. Then you can boost the 2nd mufffuzz with the first.

i have one at home that went belly up (when i tried modding the transistors, but they are soldered in such a way that it's hard to solder something different in there once they're out)

i'd like a schematic because i'm thinking of rebuilding it on perf but i'm too lazy to trace it myself if someone else already did the work.
