Wire was a game changer in a way that Wilco is not and never will be; however, they are not playing tonight in Des Moines, Ia. Wilco is.

Wilco is cool but I gaurantee that the Judas Priest show I just saw is way more exciting and epic.
How big of a venue is Wilco playing?

I managed to get to a spot about 20 feet away from where he was playing with a clear view during the show.
The man is a very musical skronk wizard. He is a noise player who can put noise into a musical context appropriately. He also does many other things very well but that is one thing I find striking about this playing within Wilco.

Saw 'em last year and I was probably about 40 feet away. Going again tomorrow.
I'm not even a huge Wilco fan but Nels makes it worthwhile.

I'm not either but I do like seeing what Mr Cline is up to.
I'd like to see him with one of his smaller more noise, improvisation, jazz based combos.
