Back when I was 16-18, any time certain people's parents went away we'd have amazing huge parties where everyone got hammered and took drugs, basically the whole school year would show up and everyone there was friends, so these parties were like the greatest time ever. Haven't been to a party as good since, dunno whether it's because of the particular people who were there (some of them REALLY do know how to party) or just that knowing everybody made it better.

the best "party" i was ever at was me and 4 of my best friends in wisconsin drinking shit loads of jaeger, and just having an awesome time.

I’m not a big fan of large crowds.
So big parties, packed clubs (like they always show in movies and on TV) make me a bit uncomfortable.

i sometimes like big or big-gish parties if they're in places like apartments where folks can break up into smaller sort of compatibility groups, but the bunch-of-people-in-a-warehouse thing...no. i like situations where you can actually talk with other folks and get some idea of who they are as human beings, not just shout over the general din or perform social kabuki. that was one reason i wearied of the rave scene: it was difficult to really see and communicate with people at the events and in and around the venues and that really fucked up the interpersonal aspect of the events.
