The band was a three piece: guitar, bass, & drums. The two string players had no tuner between them and would just tune to each other by ear. They would maintain this as needed through their set. The band was quite talented, and the tuning thing added to the feeling that they practiced some sort of arcane musical magic to which I was not privy.
