what's terrifying is that someone else wanted to sing like Steve Perry that much. the mind boggles...it's like contemplating some endless horrid emptiness out of Lovecraft.

Hmmm...worse than Foreigner...I know! How about Foreigner playing a Nudist musicfest(aptly named Nudestock)? IN THE NUDE! Or,for an even worse billing,REO Speedwagon and Styx. Yeah, that circus of utter shit rolled thru Atlantar a little while back. One reunion thingy I heard that was truly badass was Buffalo Springfield at Bonaroo(and recent-ish,too). They played Blue Bird and I thought it was a studio outtake from their heyday. Neil and Stephen sounded like four guitarists! And when the DJ said it was from the recent ru show @Bonaroo,I couldn't believe it. Was dope

Glad I got a free ticket to that instead of payin for it. I have heard the same thing.
Although Reeder is rumored to play for the U.S. tour
Those Thin Lizzy reunion tours, even though I love Scott Gorham, just sounds like milking the cash cow. Thin Lizzy without Phil...

the pixies reunion tours were terrifically disappointing
I wasn't old enough to see them the first time around, but comparing the two shows I went to with the pre-breakup live footage I've seen, I wasn't let down at all. Frank can still "scream it like you hate the bitch" even though he's lost a little high-end range (aging sucks, but it happens), and I thought Santiago ripped on guitar. My only real fear with them is that they put out a studio album that can't hang with the originals...but that doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon, if ever.
Creedence Clearwater Revisited gets my vote for the worst. "Creedence" with neither Fogerty? What a joke. Skynyrd is pretty bad too, but that travesty has been going on so long that it's hard to care anymore.

I saw Frank in a small club just about a month ago, and yeah, he was damn, damn good.

Yeah. personally I liked their take on the whole thing: give us money

No bullshit. No hell frost

And from the vids I've seen they pretty much rocked.
