I also had large armies of Z-Bots and those military Micro Machines along with their bases. And the 5 inch GI Joes.
Man, they were great...
Battletech was pretty cool too.
I had a bunch of Battletech figurines that I painted up when I was a youngster. My dad would pick them up for me as a bribe for getting good grades since he had a PT job at Hungate's (I think we talked about that before, and It would appear as though Hungate's only has a few locations left in NC). I figured out how to dry brush and add shading on those little lead "soldiers".
Had the game as well but never played it. Now Mechwarrior was a different story. I played the hell out of that video game.
While I had a ton of toys I was mainly into modelling and sniffing glue. Had a lot of the same toys that you guys had,....GI Joe, M.A.S.K., Transformers, Legos. Also I never had any but my friend did and I was always jealous of his collection of StarCom Toys:

yeah man, they shot little plastic missles from a spring in his chest. they all did. I would walk up to people and shoot crappy tiny missles in their ears cause thats the only way you would even know you got hit. the range was about 2ft so I stopped playing with it real quick. I'd rather hang books from the ceiling and subject my friends to the gauntlet as soon as they walk in.

Aw man. Mechwarrior was great...Mechwarrior 2 was one of my first PC games. Took me FOREVER to figure out that the number keys were notches on the throttle, so I'd just go around running at full speed with the autorun key, never able to stop. And when I found out that you could link up all your guns to fire at once and overheat your mech in one shot...that was glorious.
I just found a couple StarCom VHS tapes in a cabinet. Keepin' those for life!
Never had any of the toys although they were badass and had super magnetic action.

Yup,...the magnetized feeteez of the action figures was the draw of StarCom. I'm sure it didn't take long for the novelty to wear off though.
Anyone remember Entertech?

THE SOUND
OF FREEDOM.

I so wanted to be those kids when I was little.
Instead I had to rattle can my toy guns to make them look real.

you can tell how old that video is cause there is no orange on the guns and little kids could get shot by cops
