I was really nonplussed with that movie. Maybe Michael Cera just isn't doing it for me anymore, but I thought the execution cinematographically to be good where as the storyline really just bored me.
Currently digging on director Luis Bunuel's work. An Andalusian Dog w/ Dali is a quick entertainer of immediate gratification, thought provoking and intriguing. And That Obscure Object of Desire... raised the bar of film making. Also just saw two Kevin Spacey movies Se7en and the Life of David Gale. Both you quintessential Spacey movies of thought. Now about to watch Mario Bava's I tre volti della paura, Italian one. Oh, and in the middle of Gangs of New York with my girlfriend... Leo DiCaprio is one of the best actors of today. Seriously.
Ralph Bakshi fucking rules: -Fritz the Cat -Heavy Traffic -Coonskin -Wizards(warning, this movie WILL blow your mind) -That animated version of Lord of the Rings
Also, Heavy Metal.
Also, American Splendor.

As far as Bunuel stuff goes, I'd recommend The Exterminating Angel, Viridiana, and The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie. Those are my favorites of his.

The Vegan Police were hilarious though.
yeah, Michael Cera was like the worst part of the movie to me
also there was sometimes too much nonsense drama, but overall i loved it
I watched Videodrome a few nights ago. And then the other night I watched Dazed & Confused. The criterion collection dvd has tons of bonus material. Pretty cool.
Sweet thread! and I love Solaris. That horror doc sounds awesome.

it was well entertaining
For someone who watched Facebook explode from an invite-only site to what it is now, and who majored in Computer Science during that time, that movie was awesome. The societal impact has been insane, and interesting to experience first hand.
