The 90's were ok, I think nowadays theirs too much information overload and theirs also way more apathy and
ignorance.

outside of grunge and shoegaze, which were dead by 1993, the 90s were about bad American indie bands, Britpop, and electronic dance music. figure out a way to mix Pavement and techno and you're golden...something like a whiny, faux-clever EMF or Jesus Jones.

I second that, I think they get alot of flak becuz alot of bands copied them with less than succesful results.Plus I think
more people got into them towards the end or after they broke up.

I was 12 when Nirvana swept the nation/world and I fuckin' loved it. Music at the time was really shit, they were a breath of fresh air and led me to a bunch of bands that I still have love and respect for to this day. After that initial grunge wave, though, the 90's were a dark time for music. Bush, Limp Bizkit, the list goes on and on and on, just garbage everywhere and the internet wasn't much help either back then. I'd think it will be awhile before we see the return of the 90's though, I hope at least.

This, but I was 13.
Yeah it became a dark time.. metal chugged along with some good bands but the media tried their damnedest to kill all types of metal for some reason... Then Korn and Limp Bizkit came along and fucking fucked metal..

i don't think 90s nostalgia will ever be as strong since people keep jumping the gun on it. vh1 tried that "i love the 90s" show a few years ago and it was stupid.
please and thank you.

Metal did surge through the shit storm for awhile in the 90s. That's when I first discovered Carcass and Death, and they don't disappoint! Finally had the chance to see Carcass last year, return of the 90s?
