You're right. Zep could actually play music. Throwing a drum beat or chorus from another song over a simple synth bass-line isn't any sort of display of talent.

that's okay.

i always feel the urge to retardedly defend rap anytime anything is said that could be even somewhat interpreted as an insult towards it.

I don't hate rap/hip-hop as a whole, just what I consider to be lazy, simplistic production.
