A lunar eclipse occurs on the day of the winter solstice only once in 400 years. That is significant, IMO and not just the stuff of media propagation.

thats actually really irrelevant to what the eclipse will look like, actually. you could say the same thing about it being the last thursday in december, and it wouldn't change much.
i was interested because total lunar eclipses of the full moon seldom occur when/where i can see them. unfortunately, it's been raining here all week and we were socked in with fog and drizzle so i went back inside and played through the Phantom Ring instead
