^^Everyone is, in one way or another. From the people who say they don't have any disorders, to the people who treat the people who admit they have disorders (or are admitted).

Being human pretty much guarantees some weird thought processes, behaviors, obsessions, etc. Sure there's a severity scale. Lots of people keep them in check, which might be called "not having a personality disorder"...or they keep them hidden...most of the time. Hiding your personality disorders could probably be called a disorder in itself!

This, combined with what you said earlier, sounds a little like a panic attack of some kind (or a dissociative disorder?..dont take my word for it..I'm not a psychologist..)

sounds possible... the thing is those moments don't occur very often, so i don't know if i should really care

of course when they come either the "seizure-like" or the "confused", it's really... something :(

^This.

A lot of things you might consider personality disorders are really just normal but the internet and modern society make hypochondriacs of us all. Having a few ticks, a focusing problem or the odd depressive mood does not make you a loony. It's just the slightly less over positive side of the ol saying: We are all unique.

Except for Spaceritual he's fucked up :erm:

Luv you Spaceritual

funny. I just whined about how I have clear but undiagnosed AvPD on another forum within the last day or two.

So yeah, AvPD, sans shrinky-dink diagnosis. It's lame.

Like a feeling of disassociation from yourself and the world around you? as if you're confused about why you're conscious and alive and who you are, and it's like looking through someone else's eyeballs and feeling all spaced and shit?

I think there is a name for this phenomenon, but I can't remember it. Anyway, I always assumed this was normal... but it might not be after all.

I have that weird disassociated sensation/mental state sometimes, but it's very sudden and very brief, and it's pretty uncommon for me.

I think you answered your own question..it's called Disassociative Identity Disorder...and apparently surprisingly common..atleast in this thread?

Oh man! Boy oh boy! I have a history of depression, I used to have anxiety attacks (Tony Soprano-passing out style) and I'm an off and on insomniac/sleep walker.

But, it's OK. I'm damned handsome.

yeah, we're sick-buddies  but really - i've done some research about it and it seems possible, thanks, i didn't know about this stuff and i'm not paranoid enough to google my symptoms directly

if it gets worse, i'm totally gonna get myself checked - just to be sure. I think it might be worth the waiting
