Does anyone know where I can get a replacement needle for my record player cabinet... and which ones are compatible with it? It's an old RCA.

This is an excellent choice. It's basically a copy of a Technics 1200 series, the best turn table ever, really. I have the Audio Technica AT-60 turntable, the quality is great (mine was only $100). Mine came with a rca to 1/8 inch adapter so you can plug it into an aux input, for which it has a preamp built into it's self. I would go with the At-pl120 since you can afford it, new is better than used, since you could spend twice as much as the turn table on a new needle. If I could I'd get this, has everything you could want on a turntable.

Unless you NEED to have a digital out just get a good hi/fi or cheap dj turntable... The cartridge is what matters...

Thanks. I don't need any fancy features like digital out, I'd be nice but I just want to spin some vinyl for recreational purposes.

No fancy stuff just good sound. I agree with that about the cartridge/stylus. I noticed the sound was losing something and the high frequencies (especially vocals) sound a bit edgy. Just changed me stylus (ortofon 520) and the thing cost me nigh on £100. Supposed to changed around every 1000hrs of play or something. That is where the money goes big time.

You'll have to look at the old one and match or take the whole cartridge off and look for #'s... I hope you find one and hook up that old RCA...

I'm actually 23 now. I'll be 24 this November. I started this thread a while ago, yo! I'm pretty sure they used to sell needles at Sam Ash a few years back, but I'm not sure you have those stores where yer at. Maybe they have 'em at Guitar Center!

This is the one I went with! It's pretty feckin sweet. Hasn't let me down yet, though I should probably upgrade the crappy needle it came with.

Yes upgrade and reap the rewards... Seriously spend as much as possible on the cartridge and stylus... I like this one, and it's cheap...
