^^^^ This. I have a cheapy cel that I put $100 on and it's lasts about a year. I only use it for emergencies and when I'm meeting someone... never felt the urgency to tell someone how good my apple is or that I just changed my underwear. Oh yeah, I'm not a violent person but it should be legal, and encouraged, to throw bricks at people that use phones while driving.

Is it bad if i'm posting this on an iPhone?

THIS!!! I'm not the type of person that would want our government to add another law to the looooong list rules we must abide to, but I definitely wouldn't vote against making it illegal to use cell phones while driving. I know it's illegal in some states, but unfortunately inconsiderate people are allowed to be even more oblivious to their surroundings here. I should at least be allowed to throw my Coke slushy at them!


I also have had the same cheap cell for nearly 3 years, and it usually stays home. I rarely answer it when I'm spending time with my wife or friends. When I'm with someone I want to give them my attention. Nothing says "my time spent with you is valuable to me" like interrupting them in the middle of a sentence so you can answer your phone.

Also, while we're on the topic. If I am not able to, or don't feel like, answering my phone please leave an eff'ing message if you need to get ahold of me. I'm not a mind reader, and I'm also not going to call you back and be all "hey I saw you called. What do you want?" If it's important, leave me a message. I think this way of thinking irritates my wife. She always asks me "aren't you going to call them back?" And I say "nay! Woman, if it's important they would have left a message, or will call me back later." She's one of the few exceptions to this rule. Gotta keep harmony at the home.

Oh yeah, I would love to be able to print out a hundred or so of those posters to put up all over town. I wonder if there is a high resolution file out there I could download in case I feel motivated to put my money where my mouth is.

It is illegal to talk on your cell phone and drive in Ontario now.
It's helpful, but at the same time when I'm driving somewhere and need help finding the place, pulling over a pain.
Oh well. Still safer.

You're from Chicago. The only reason strangers let you use their phone is because they stole it from someone else and need to get rid of the evidence.
