the flat 5!! :omg:

also, 7ths, 11ths and 13. I love suspended chord sounds, augmented and diminished chords too. Basically anything that's not your regular 5ths in major or minors.

Some chords I've been messing around with lately are

fmaj7#11 (already mentioned in the thread, it's 133200
F#7add4 (or add11...it's the same as above, but up a half step 244300)

Here's another kind of interesting progression I was messing around with in C#AC#EAC# (A/C# tuning)

044444 x77777 x4354x x6576x

this should give you a C#/E/A/B progression. I don't have my guitar in this tuning anymore..so if somebody could double-check this to see if I got it right..it'd be appreciated :hello:

We've had quite a few of these threads before, here is my standard answer.

One of my favorites is used a lot in the Deftones' "Root", which is an E maj 7 flat 5. Sometimes I actually tune my guitar to this chord (it's also cool because it has the "devil's interval" in it):

0

My favorite "normal"-sounding chord is the D/F#:

Isn't that an Emi7 flat5? Not trying to be snooty, just trying to see if I know any theory at all ever..
