Two chicks at the same time.

Find a band would be nice...and, as has been said already, soldering...I've always wanted to try my hand at DIY pedal stuff...but so far soldering irons have not been my friend.
the 'cable soldering' workshop in college showed me that. :picard:

Get a piece of perfboard, pre-punched circuit board, etc from Radio Shack, along with a spool of wire.

Cut small snips of wire and strip both ends. Stick each end into one of the pre-punched holes on the board, and solder them. It takes practice to learn, but this is a good and cheap way to do it.

Just go with a cheap iron to start with. I think Radio Shack has a dual wattage one for around $10. It's cheap, and far from high quality, but it gets the job done for learning/building a few pedals.

With music gear, knowing how to solder is a big deal - once you learn it you can fix so many things on your own, rather than running to a tech every time something goes wrong.

I cannot condone the use of a Radio Shack iron for a beginner.

http://www.amazon.com/Weller-SP40L-Mark ... 149&sr=8-3

Way better for a cheap iron. But I did a lot with my radio shack iron, so whatever.

I wish I could build a fuzz pedal out of only parts stolen from Radio Shack.

And maybe make something out of nothing but recycled parts. Used enclosures, salvaged components, and all. That'd be neat.

Also, I wish I could turn down sex. I don't mean that I can't say no. I wish I had the opportunity to say no.

At that price, most definitely get the Weller. I've only ever seen Wellers for $40+++ so, I didn't recommend one.

As far as your first fuzz, you'd have to find parts worth stealing in radio shack first.

The second would be awesome. A while ago, I saw someone who used old geiger counter enclosures from the '50s or '60s and made some fuzzes in them. They looked epic.

Screw whistling, I'd kill to be able to sing. Like Dan Auerbach would do the job. I'd love to open my mouth and have Freddie King's voice come out ... or Paul Rodgers', or Stevie Marriott's, or Frankie Miller's, or pretty much anything in tune and interesting to listen to.

+10. :(

I wish I could live in a warehouse converted to a loft somewhere downtown within walking distance to a coffee shop and a grocery store. And I wish said loft would contain a recording/rehearsal studio. I also wish my wife and I wouldn't have to work, and all she would have to worry about is walking around naked, cooking me food containing bacon, and bringing me beers while I play guitar or Xbox....... :sigh: a boy can dream.
