Would any existing velcro on pedals stand to do any kind of damage to the carpeting?

I don't think the velcro would do anything to the shag. The shag is a vintage 3" nap.

Rad. I dig your product, good sir.
I am totally on board with this.

Welcome to the forum, Bob!

Here's my new and loverly Bedroom Board:

Large size Bedroom Board
Large size Bedroom Board

It's the large size, measures 30" by 17".

There's a few things about these boards that I think make them really cool. They're hand made to custom measurements by a real craftsman, the fit and finish is flawless and they're really heavy duty. The textured black finish seems like that grippy truck bed finish stuff, really beefy and durable. Underneath the shag there's a solid floor that lifts out and there's 3 chambers inside with room for power supplies and power bars with holes for cables. You don't always see it in pics but they come with a big lid too that has foam inside to hold your pedals down while in transport. Fits together nicely with top notch clasps and handles. And you can pick your colour of shag!

All the attention to details and quality make for a really great board and I think they look cool as heck too.

A couple of my pedals on the board have velcro on the bottom, the shag doesn't seem to care.. it's really thick and tough. The pedals sit really well in the carpet too, they don't slide around, although I'm not bouncing around on a stage or anything like that... yet... maybe if the Jonas Brothers would return my calls...

And just to add, I'm not 'endorsed' by Bedroom Boards and we didn't do any trades or anything like that.. I paid the normal full price and I would again.

Thanks for the pic and the dets Ryan. With the lid on can you carry the board upright without stuff sliding around? Like if I got a small or medium one could I put the lid on, throw it in my backpack and ride my bike all around NY - for instance? :) That's usually what I have to do when playing outside my apt...

You had me at shag! If I ever get rich enough to purchase any more gear ever again, I think I need one of these. I actually really like the idea of not having to fuck around with velcro too!

K. I do that with my pt-2 and my timbuk2 roll top. It's almost a perfect fit, my bag is like 13x30(rolltop extended all the way)x6 and my PT-2 is 12x24x5 1/2ish (depending on pedal height). I have a feeling if you stay in that ballpark you should be fine... Is yours a roll top because that'll be a big help since you can always hang any extra out of the the roll top and put a plastic bag over to keep it safe and dry... I am actually thinking about one of these too, but my NYC journeys would be on the subway, can you put wheels & a pull handle on these bad boys?

I saw that you ride a bike with your equipment. I strap the Electro Harmonix pedal board/bag to my messenger bag.I can fit 10 to 12 small mid sized pedals on this board. It fits well but is a little heavy. You probably don't want a wooden board on your bike since that is just added extra weight.I will try to post some pictures. These boards do look great!!! And he plays garage psych :trippy:

Yeah, I hear ya - every ounce counts. I've also had some stuff get banged up in transit though, so safety and padding count for something too. Thanks for the input man! And YES - garage psych!!!

Dang, Ryan! Now I know what you've been up to... :-) I want one of these boards really bad. I'm also in the "Just put together a Pedaltrain" camp. :-( As soon as I can justify the expense, the pink shag will be mine! I'm gonna need a little bit of extra room for the Snowdrift and the Jellybeanness, anyway...
