they are. played a show with dinosaur jr. a few months ago and all 3 stacks were on - he was ALSO using 2 twin reverbs as well. one was a fucking monitor.

Back in the 80s there was a house band at a big local club here that had the wall of fake speaker cabs. Looked pretty cheesy, even for the 80s.

i read somewhere that zztop's bill gibbons wanted to stack up 1000 or more of those battery powered little smokey amps to play through on stage. it probably never happened, but i always thought it was kind of a cool billy idea.

Brad Paisley generally uses MAZ 18 & MAZ 38's which are what those (probably) ghost amps are.
