It's a classic player. Got it in a trade. The short scale just feels so much better in my hands and the tone range is perfect for what I need especially with the switchesmonkeydancer wrote:Yeeeee jaguars are awesome. Last year, I had money for a new guitar. Had it picked out for weeks after months of going back and forth...ChetMagongalo wrote:So hard to save up money for an expensive bass when there's so many badass PEDALS

I ended up selling most of my pedals to buy my bass. Then I started replacing the pedals. Now I have it ALLChetMagongalo wrote:So hard to save up money for an expensive bass when there's so many badass PEDALS

Yeah, I hear ya. Buying secondhand pedals is a great way to buy-to-try, because they typically hold their used-market value.ChetMagongalo wrote:I've had my eye on this one for over a year! I've got a full board right now but I'm always tempted to buy just to try

+1 on buying second hand, since I started doing that I've rarely made any considerable lossesrustywire wrote:Yeah, I hear ya. In the best case scenario, the price spikes due to buzz and demand and you get some tangible return on the investment in yourself.
I've flipped numerous pedals that didn't mesh with my rig or taste for whatever reason, with the sale price being approx +/- $10-20, coming out slightly ahead more often than not.
Losses do occur but they are modest, and the knowledge and wisdom that comes with the experience is among the highest bang-for-the-buck $20 lessons I can think of.
It's almost like pedal rental...with no late fees
Shifting gears:
After owning the CD for many years, I finally got my hands on the vinyl of Slint - Spiderland
