I'm not quite sure what I'm looking at here. Is it a gaming mouse? Controlled by what looks like a flattop thumb joystick? Or is it optical? Can you use it to control reason or FLstudios more fluidly? Is it not a computer mouse at all? I'm intrigued!

It's a gaming keyboard that you can program all the keys into; it also has a thumbpad (like a PS2 controller stick) and a scroll wheel as well. And apparently you can store up to 8 presets into it to switch between games or character or whatever.

What would one have to run it through to get band level volume?
also...is that synth just single notes? Or can a chord be slammed down on?

No chords, it's a monophonic synth. You could probably run it into a mixer/PA or into some sort of loud-ass bass/keyboard amp. :drool:
