I don't expect him too, nor would I want him too. He wouldn't be the same person on or off the stage.
:wha?:
You'd really have to meet him to understand. He tried going clean for a while and ended up becoming agoraphobic from what I was told. I met him a couple times playing with Ol' Scratch and it really is what gives him that over the top persona, and those stares the evil evil stares on stage. As F'd as it sounds yeah I wouldnt want him to change.

I've met some people like that. I understand what you mean, but I don't co-sign it.

At least he isn't swindling people for merch money like the dude from Nachmysticum.

I thought Bobby OD'ed, which is why I said, "was".

So its ok for Eyehategod to have a song called, "white [EDITED]" and I can't say hoodrat? Double standards suck!

I think you're kinda joking, but if not...

Nobody has said you can't say hoodrat.
Nobody here gave EyeHateGod "permission" to name that song!
The disturbing part of your comment was not the term hoodrat, it was what you wished would happen to them. I'd never say that about any non-ethically-aligned* category of people.

*i.e. excluding neo-nazis, kiddy fiddlers, whatever.

Great American Music Hall in SF sounds so good. Saw them (RC) there last year and they were beyond amazing. Can't wait to finally catch Helms Alee!

 pc just ate my post.

In breif,
RC with Helms Alee! Fuck yeah! Helms Alee are cool peoples.

Skip, I just snagged a BCRich pup for $20. I figure the eventual owner of this can buy whatever they prefer and It will keep costs down on my end. Kinda kicking myself as I did see a couple of those available for not much more.

As for the kit, I think a better route to getting the guitar people want would be to source a neck and then scratch build a body. The kit just has to many flaws for it to be a good idea for a first time builder. If you are at the level where you can correct it's issues, then you ought to be able to scratch build a body to a higher standard.
This is turning into a nice player but it feels like most of the work I've done has been to correct things.

On topic of Liebling, that dude needs to clean up. He has done everything he will ever do. The last record was a pretty clear indicator that he is on his way out. I can assume everyone has seen Last Days Here. The entire time I was waiting for the funeral scene even though I knew that dude was alive. Dude has a fucking kid now, he needs to get hsi shit in order and not ruin the legacy he has, which is already pretty heavily tarnished in a lot of ways from his drug abuse. Dude needs to go out on top and not in a casket and he is heading towards the casket and not the summit.

So I found the perfect drummer on craigslist, but he has one HUGE downside.... he's still in highschool... if his skills are there is it worth taking the time to perfect the music, and record an album while he finishes school and then go touring? or do you think it would be a trainwreck waiting to happen? The first serious band I joined I was about 12 years younger than the rest of the members and it worked out pretty good actually, so I don't think its that obscure, and younger people have a tendency to be able to get out more people to shows. So I dunno, am I nuts or should I give the guy a chance?

Helms Alee is one of the tightest bands I've seen in recent years. They did philly a while back and everything sounds so dead on perfect. It's amazing.

If the kid can handle being a normal person and not act like a giant screwup, i say go for it. It might get weird if he wants to do a show and you have to remind him that you have kids and your daughters 3rd birthday party is that same day... but if they get shit like that i don;t see a problem at all.
