Just bought the Hyper Phase in b/s/t. I'm not going to bother spending hundreds on good modulation pedals anymore when awesome sounds are obtainable from combining two or three cheap ones.

Also, STEP PHASER HELL YEAH!

Do it! I just built a warmoth mustang a month or two ago and it was good fun, and I have a great guitar out of it. Make sure do do something weird! Paint it yourself! Weird pickups! If you're building it you hold all the cards, you don't have to do it like fender, and in my opinion you shouldn't!

^Definitely. I'd love to paint a guitar myself if I ever build one myself.

In: Cheap SX Tele, $800 (Now what do I buy?)

Out: Engl Fireball, sad to see it go but it got no attention. Now I know it'll receive far more love at it's new home.

Game on! The only downer is I put it all together to my specs and then realized that it's basically the Thurston Moore JM.
No rhythm circuit, no tone, modified mustang bridge. I'm gonna paint it seafoam green (maybe matching headstock).

At some point I want to get a bound and blocked CBS strat neck, but I can't swing the price right now.

Why not just wait until you have the cash for the block neck?

Because I'm impatient and I hate the idea of paying over $400 for a neck.
