My Jazzy came in Wednesday. So good, head over heels for it.
I was initially worried about it being hella bright with that maple board and JM pickups but it sounds super FAT and gorgeous. The Custom Shop pickups DOMINATE the Antiquity IIs I had on my old Thurston Moore sig. The Antiquity set was so thin sounding and delivered those brittle ice pick highs I loathe. These, however, are fairly mellow and thick sounding while still retaining that trademark JM jangly sound.
Finish has very light "relic", kind of a worn in feel and look, neck feels great, and the body resonates like a mutha. Weighs in at 8.5lbs so it's a beefy fucker. Excellent all around and definitely a keeper!

I played a Minibrute today and lets just say it made me feel funny in my pants region. The Prophet '08 is by far the superior instrument and can cop all of the sounds of this Minibrute, but the Minibrute is so nice, size-wise. Sounds big too, and I love all the knobs and sliders on the front face of the machine too - all designated to one parameter. The want is strong - but I must resist (though I think GC has some 15% off sale this weeekend...but knowing my luck all the good stuff is probably invalid/doesn't apply).
After finishing my first album up, I've gotten back into the mood of writing songs, which has consequently flared up my GAS again...

Maple fretboard just makes my pants tight.

http://www.amazon.com/JOYOS-IMPROVED-JP ... wer+supplyis isolated short circuit protection the same as isolated power?
I have never needed isolated power before but my Organizer and freeze hate each other, freeze seems to cause noise on dirt too
