Damn. Those are so good looking. I heard they self-oscillate like crazy. Even more than the second one, I mean. I wouldn't mind checking one out. :drool:

As I said in my previous post, it's more prone to self-oscillate, and the v2 is a redesigned circuit, because the v1 was too crazy for a lot of folks.

Edited my last post. I've heard both and they sound different (shriller highs on the v1) and act different (self-oscialltion wise).

I have only played in for an hour or so so far, and I am sure like most of their stuff it varies a fair amount from pedal to pedal, but yes, the oscillation on the V1 is different than the V2. At least with mine, it starts to oscillate at about the same time, but the the oscillation on the V1 is MUCH more useable. On my V2, it is hard to fairly harsh sounding, hard to control, and often develops a click type sound if I push it. On the v1, it is much smoother and less shrill sounding and I can tame it to the point where I can even play over it and have it in the background.

And resincum, you can turn the fuzz off, it doesn't have to always be on. It has a three way toggle that is off and then two fuzz modes with a different clipping. But not having a master does suck a bit because the volume difference is pretty huge. You might not notice it much on a cranked amp, but playing a home it is significant.

I must be mixing them up then. I recalled the V1 being the craziest one, oscillation-wise. Maybe it was just the jump in volume you mentioned. Anyways, I played my friend's V1 and loved it, ordered a V2 to call my own, but didn't like it as much and ended up flipping it.

I'm having too much fun with my AARP these days. Definitely a sleeper hit, especially for those who like droning and oscillations. What's your signal chain here? Great sounds! :snax:

Pimped the ironing board in the practice space.
Stuff is going through two 4-channel mixer, each mixer then runs into it's own delay pedal.

it is SO awesome. it's seriously confusing how this box hasn't popped off..I guess that's the power of marketing \n/ what's super cool is that you can nail whatever times as long as you are quick with you're hands & the reset button. (3/5/7 vs 4/6/8)
it's a clip with 3 parts:
1st: drone thing -> aarp -> 2nd voice deluxe -> bitquest (reverb)
2nd: drone thing > aarp > 2nd voice deluxe
3rd: drone thing > misty cave > aarp (loads of settings explored in this clip)
