I like the extra lows and the I can use my bass to ram pedals when needed

I do wish my main bass had a switch to turn the pre off sometimes but oh well..
It cant be that difficult to do this
nope. just buy a G&L
Or Jaguar Bass, or is that just a switch from passive to active without bypassing the pre-amp circuit?

Yeah but the Jaguar Bass's preamp is pretty bleh. IMO it's a nice side feature but if you really are into active basses I would recommend upgrading its preamp.

It's been a long time coming, but here goes.

A blue, 80's Charvel is not pictured. May have to do individual shots since this family photo doesn't really do them justice.

Nice!
What are the green and blue ones? I dig the boomerang headstock.

Hey Behndy,...if you are still lurking,...the neckwood on your Dingy looks like wenge. Is it?

Yes, the green one is a Musicvox Spaceranger (which is about to get a GFS Dream 180). The blue one, right next to it is a Danelectro Dead-On 67 baritone.

Haha, cool! Mine arrived yesterday. Neck is awesome, Pickups as far as i checked it out yet very ok, just the bridge looks as if it needs some attention.

Yeah, I had a luthier set it up for me and he said there was only so much he could do for the bridge. Plays fine to me, but my ears aren't the most discerning.

I think I'm trading my Classic Stingray for this Big Al 4H. As awesome as my Stingray sounds, I vastly prefer the ergos of the Big Al. This seemed like a better second bass to my 4SSS Big Al than the Stingray.
