I had a Markbass cab and sold it because it was too muddy sounding. Huge lows, but not enough articulation. Got a Gallien Krueger cab and it sounds great but it doesn't have nearly the low end the Markbass had. I want kind of a in between. Something with low end retention and still articulate. It's weird. I never knew cabs could sound so different but they do.

Sounds like someone's about to start building a fEARful. Low end and articulation like you'd never believe. :)*

If you can't afford to buy one and can't build one, check out LDS or AudioKinesis.....or Baer.

Holy fucking balls that's nice. Reaaally makes me want a grabber, or just anything with a single pickup that takes a beating. Guess I could just get fatter strings for my jazz but new bass... :erm:

Honestly, I do feel jaded sometimes my friend... I need some gear viagra every once in a while though.

Oh and I know all about soldering iron GAS, I went with an 80$ digital radio shack a while ago and havent looked back. It's lasted longer then 8 10$ iron's would have.
