It's interesting to say the least just doesn't really hit me all that much. This is in reference to those post about Omar's board
Live post: non stop phaser. There is no stopping the swoosh
Yeah, I heard the phaser was used HEAVILY live.
What kinda weird shit is the girl doing onstage btw, writhing around barefoot on the ground or what? You know, I always prefer a band where the singer plays an instrument, seems they're more comfortable on stage that way, less awkward weirdness going on. I did love Cedric's antics tho, dude is pretty entertaining grooving around like an afro'd James Brown, doing handstands and shit, haha!
ChetMagongalo wrote:I saw Bos Rain and thought they were okay but really not that great for having Omar. I thought the lady was entertaining and she was okay at singing but I thought her hooks and melodies could have been a lot more interesting. I thought she was very attractive but that really doesn't matter

I haven't listened to the album yet.
I've been really LOVING the album. Saddens me to hear the live show isn't all that impressive. Gonna catch 'em when they get back from Europe and embark on a proper US tour. Just missed 'em this last week in Chicago, couldn't make it happen, ugh!

I was actually at the Chicago show and the weird shit she was doing was like doing was like weird force writhing and like robotic movements and jerking and weird faces and like barefoot terrible dancing. It was exactly he worst especially in front of three focused serious look musicians. She should play the keys and let Parks drum even harder

So a friend and I were guest stars for Izalith on the Vegas date of their West Coast tour. Despite fucking up the first song cause we couldn't hear the drum tracks and an audience that didn't applaud, it was a fucking blast.
And of course I took board shots at rehearsal
Lien (Guitars/Vocals/Programming):

He uses the Line 6 FBV Shortboard to trigger drum and synth tracks in Ableton since most of the tour he couldn't land a drummer. He's using a Fender Blues Deluxe from the 90s and a Schecter C-1 in CGCFGC. That Shoegazer gets fucking nasty at points.
Cailan (Lead Vocals):

We also added a Large Room style verb to the vocals at the mixing board.
Cameron (Guitar):

He's rocking my SS/BS Mini to push the gain over the edge. He plays a Fender FMT Telecaster with a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge and an Egnater Renegade into a Mesa Road King cab.
and of course myself:

I kind of set my clean bass tone slightly scooped out between 500 and 2000 hz, so the Dirge Rat is great for slicing through the mix/destroying everything in the room when it needs to get heavy.

So much drone-looping was involved.

Here's the pedalboard that Warren Ellis is using at the moment whilst on tour with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

Some more information on Oliver Ackermann's rig. Power amp / custom pre-amp / custom multi effect with delay / reverb feeding back into each other. Amazing. I love Gearnerd's interviews.

I'd imagine it's supposed to be QSC power amp.
