I wouldn't say snob, I'd just say your tastes are more refined.chuckjaywalk wrote:I saw this and, honestly, I don't care how it sounds. I'm very put off by pedals with non-pedal related art and logos just sort of plastered on them. I saw an overdrive on Instagram with a Batman logo just... there. Maybe I'm just a snob. No, scratch that, I am totally a snob.
Thing is, the more I thought about it, the more I realized my distaste had more to do with the laziness than the use. You could definitely do a cool Batman logo themed pedal. I mean, if it was the Jim Aparo-era Batman logo, offset, with Ben-Day dots on a solid grey background or maybe the Frank Miller The Dark Knight Returns logo stomped with mud, then it would be visually interesting, have artistic value, and communicate your love of Batman to the world via your pedalboard. Just plastering on a logo, particularly a bland one, with no context or sense of design is worse than plain, to me.BLOOD EAGLE wrote:I wouldn't say snob, I'd just say your tastes are more refined.chuckjaywalk wrote:I saw this and, honestly, I don't care how it sounds. Not my cup of tea mind you, but If you were a huge batgeek,
then yeah that sweet bat logo on your ts808 clone would be cool...
Different strokes for different folks.

It drives me fucking crazy that folks are prepared to plunk down money on stuff that looks like it was drawn by a drunk Nascar fan upon discovering Microsoft Paint.
