Since I posted those pics, that's where they are sitting. 2 coats of sand n seal ready to be sanded and then polyed and all that mess with hardware. I had to leave town for work so I've been out of town since Mon and will be back next friday and I think I'll be in town for the next 3-4 weeks till I might leave again.

So my plans for when I return... finish these two.

do up odontophobia's headcase for his amp.
do up this other Tallboy I had planned to do with a green stain and doing it up with nice 45s... kinda something similar to Old Crowe. Might be a one off thing cause I started trying to put it together last week and it just wasn't working out for me so I had to step back and rethink it.
I have an order for yet another Red Oak Tallboy unloaded.
do a 215 square cab and done specifically like the other green tolexed cab I have.
probably will tolex one or both of the 212 cabs I had built out of the excess ply from the other builds I was doing, these were done up for specifically being tolexed if I had gotten any orders in for one.
drop 2 18's in the Orange 215 I built and see if I like that, if not I'll take them out make it a 215 again and build a 218 cab. I think there is plenty of airspace for it.
and finally start on a 612 since I've been originally wanting to do one from the start but wanted to make sure I'm solid on all I'm doing before I tackled something that large.

Punch life in the face.

So i see that on ebay a seller selling individually 4 matching speakers. Says will combine shipping if anyone buys more than one. I put in a best offer on all 4. I wait the day for a combined shipping quote and then srnd a message. I get a message saying that is the combined shipping... Meaning taking the shipping on one and multiplying it by 4 and goes to ecplain to me that is the combined shipping cause shipping is by weight and not by how many boxes used. As if ive never bought or shipped anything in my life nevertheless worked for a shipping company for 2 years. I know how much shit costs to fucking ship and it's certainly not fucking 80 dollars for 4 12's. Blow that right out your ass.

I would understand if they are EV's.... these are not. He came back bitched a little and said he will doubly make sure he is correct. And then I had another message apologizing to me cause I was right and it was only half of what he was trying to charge me.

I mean hell don't tell me I'm wrong with everything ever says I'm right and it's not just my thinking I'm right... it's everything in reality and life saying I am right. Shit.

Lol, i haved been punching life in the face but sadly one of the reasons i have little time is my mom is having some medical issues, she seems a bit frail right now to be punched in the face

I swear sometimes ebay sellers and shipping drives me insane. I wanted a 4x12 cab shipped to me one time and the guy quoted me.......$350. Also told me that 4x12s werent meant to be shipped.

Plus ive lost out on about 10 pieces of cool cheap gear because the fuckbag couldnt possibly ship, apparently the act of boxing an item up and taking it to UPS is just too hard....

Way too hard and even then you can just take the item to there and pay a bit extra and have UPS box the sonofabitch up. That I don't even mind. But that's way too difficult or too much to wrap their heads around. Oh sorry about that with your momma, yea I don't think punching her in the face would help matters too much.

Still ebay people.... GODDAMN YOU

Started working on an oversized sealed 115 using repurposed wood my dad has laying around the house. It wont look anywhere near as beautiful as some of your cabs SLK but im going for the made in the backyard rugged look. Used a big solid plank for the sides, top and bottom. Going to use fence slats for the back. Working on what I'm going to use for the face. No science involved, just making a box to put my Altec Lansing 15" in. It'll be my home cab, so weight and looks arent a priority. But I think it'll turn out pretty cool. Inside dimensions are roughly 29x26x10, which is quite a bit widder and taller but not much deeper than the cab the speaker is now. Leaving the nail in for TONEZZZZ.

Thank you and hell I like that rugged look, I'm quite interested in seeing how the final turnout comes together.

Yeah me too. I'm kinda doing this as I go without any real plans, still trying to figure out what I'm going to use for the face. Gotta do some more looking around the yard. There's some plywood laying around but that won't look as cool as actual wood.

More like 2x12"...yeah there won't be a shortage of wood and nails/ screws in this thing. She's pretty sturdy already. Probably won't need any bracing once the back and face are on.
