what's up with the Tone knob, Tone screw and the two Yellow Tone Chiclets in that g00p?
Welcome to ILF. Glad you like your amp. Shame the guy who owns the company seems to be really uptight about people knowing exactly what he's doing when he mods and retolexes,Puck5862 wrote:I recently bought Baltar V2 No.6. This amp freaking crushes it. 2 channels. The clean side is amazing. I've been running a re-issue Rat and a Colossus. either/or = awesome . The high gain side...just as good. Since I bought this thing, the riffs have been falling like rain. Every time I plug in, something new comes out. It's musical (the best quality of any amp) and versatile. There's gobs of tones in this thing. I dialed in a decent facsimile of the brown sound this morning, just for fun. And of course it does doom really, really well. All this for $875...and it looks cool as shit. No brainer. Btw, I bought it based on the Youtube vids. yeah, not HD...lowfi...but I instantly heard something good. I like it.

Even more Interesting second post......Puck5862 wrote:No shame. Buy one and check it out. If you you don't like it...Ill gladly take it off your hands. Caveat - no Hello Kittey
Why would I buy a Hovercraft when I've already got a vintage Orange? That'd be like buying a framed sketch of a sports car when you've already got a real one sitting in your garage.Puck5862 wrote:No shame. Buy one and check it out. They look nice, hopefully he puts more care and energy into modding those. They are alot more likely to kill you if something is improperly installed......Puck5862 wrote:Wonder if his motorcycles sound good...
Yeah tone-wise, I thought my old OR-15 sounded significantly better than my old Hovercraft Andromeda. The Andromeda didn't sound bad, just a generic high-gain head that wasn't quite thick enough on the low end.D.o.S. wrote: Why would I buy a Hovercraft when I've already got a vintage Orange? Do you have a link to that thread?whoismarykelly wrote:Anyone see the stuff on facebook about build quality and unconnected parts in these amps?
Search for the Facebook group "First Church of Amplifier Worship" and it will be somewhat near the top.John Matrix wrote:Do you have a link to that thread?whoismarykelly wrote:Anyone see the stuff on facebook about build quality and unconnected parts in these amps?
Weird, I can't find that group anywhere. This isn't the first time I've tried looking for it and nothing ever comes up. Oh well.Ancient Astronaught wrote:Search for the Facebook group "First Church of Amplifier Worship" and it will be somewhat near the top.John Matrix wrote:Do you have a link to that thread?whoismarykelly wrote:Anyone see the stuff on facebook about build quality and unconnected parts in these amps?
