It's musical (the best quality of any amp) and versatile. There's gobs of tones in this thing. I dialed in a decent facsimile of the brown sound this morning, just for fun. And of course it does doom really, really well. All this for $875...and it looks cool as shit. No brainer. Btw, I bought it based on the Youtube vids. yeah, not HD...lowfi...but I instantly heard something good. I like it.
Welcome to ILF. Glad you like your amp. Shame the guy who owns the company seems to be really uptight about people knowing exactly what he's doing when he mods and retolexes,

Why would I buy a Hovercraft when I've already got a vintage Orange? That'd be like buying a framed sketch of a sports car when you've already got a real one sitting in your garage.

They look nice, hopefully he puts more care and energy into modding those. They are alot more likely to kill you if something is improperly installed......

Yeah tone-wise, I thought my old OR-15 sounded significantly better than my old Hovercraft Andromeda. The Andromeda didn't sound bad, just a generic high-gain head that wasn't quite thick enough on the low end.

Search for the Facebook group "First Church of Amplifier Worship" and it will be somewhat near the top.

hahaha......it was bound to happen.

I had an Andromeda, and it was cool while I had it....but it was just a lightly modded Epiphone So. Cal.
It was really clean inside though.....no wacky notes or random gooped shit....just a few simple mods and the rest was stock.

Weird, I can't find that group anywhere. This isn't the first time I've tried looking for it and nothing ever comes up. Oh well.
