Well

came late to the party... but boy, am i glad i decided to buy it later IF... and not now...

hope you can get your moniez back, Behndy... this shit sucks, really

to be honest... kind of can't wait to look for the right fuzz to find the sound in my head... combining something with this is no longer the way to go.

you seriously damaged the builder tho... he can't get my bloody poor student cash for his not-really-well-done-design. Poor him, right? :whateva:

Being totally pedantic here, but I'd say the builder himself did all the damage :thumb:

A little time in a soul-crushing fast food job and he'd have no problem kissing annoying customers' asses.

lol. f'reals. where does he get the idea this is a good way to treat people?

so, he sent me an email last night saying he realized after watching that vidja that it IS broken, and i can send it in for a repair. sounds disingenuous to me since i sent him an audio clip with it GLARINGLY obvious that it's making way too much noise in the first email contact about this problem, he waited until after PayPal decided in his favor, and it smacks of damage control. told him i wasn't interested in owning this thing at all, he can issue a full refund then i'll send it back after it clears.

this morning he responded with,

" Again, I would be willing to send you a $113.40 refund once the pedal is sent back to me in good condition. I cannot send the refund until it has been returned though. This is pretty much standard for any company when you want to return something... and the 30% deduction from the amount paid is normally considered a "re-stock" fee, or "re-fund" fee and the reason for this is mostly because the seller/company can't tell whether the item has been damaged, or whether the item was damaged in transit... So this is basically in place so that we are not losing money every time a return is made and also for the hassle of fixing the pedal (time/money), and re-shipping the pedal (time/money).

Anyway, sorry for the lecture, just wanted to clear that up... let me know if you want to return it, or if you have any other questions/comments, please let me know."

which, whatever. if that was his policy, stated on his website before all this went down? then it's on me. he's handled this ridiculously badly, him keeping 30% of my money for the honor of getting a badly designed, broken pedal sent to me is a slap in the face.

not quite sure how i'm going to proceed, but it's definitely not going to be accepting his VERY generous offer.

I'll tell you how you're going to proceed.

You're going to cease all correspondence with him and forget about it.

Admitting a pedal is broken and then trying to charge a restocking fee on a refund? RLY?

I'd like to hear his rebuttal.

I don't know about everyone else around here, but I'm willing to PayPal you $5 towards covering your expenses.

Your service in exposing pedal companies that shouldn't be dealt with is invaluable & well worth it.

YOU DID IT BRO TIME TO EAT IT!!!

That's redonk... If you fuck something up say sorry and make amends, do your best to fix it instead of keeping someones money cause YOU put them through all this hassle... What if this was some 14 year old who had to mow yards and save up for months to but this pedal and he gets it and it's broken and he just has to sit there with a negative attitude and hurt feelings about custom pedals... It doesn't matter that it's Behnderzzz or that a vid was made or that will be a tourbox of shame to out this stupidity, what matters is that someone trying to run a small business needs to manage their shit better and use some quality control and not be a dick about refunds...
