Those deals get more and more rare, unfortunately.
It's all about clueless craigslist sellers, and having cash on hand/being ready to pounce...same dude tried to talk me into some POS electric 6 string for like $200 while I was at his house picking up the sunn

Kind of what I was getting at with the escalation comment was more in the vein of what you said. Not out-doing, so much as just trying to destroy the minds (bowels and vaginas,too) of the uninitiated. I think a small amount of friendly one-upmanship among us doomers isn't a bad thing when the end product is rigs like yours. It's good for all of us in the end. Its like Gear Darwinism. IM so mad I dont have the space for giant ass rigs right now. Otherwise id be building 4x18s and 8x15s all day long and smoking you cats hahaha. Ill get a rig pic eventually, if it ever stops raining here and I get some light to work with.
