Every person I know who has read the books has been bitching about last nights episode. Everyone I know who hasn't read the books fucking loved it. I'm starting to think that having read the books is really poisoning a lot of people. My wife and all of my friends have been posting about how awesome that episode was.
A lot of people I know who haven't read the books haven't liked the season that much. They complain that everyone is just walking somewhere on a journey. I disagree with them because (having read the book) I'm always interested in seeing how the show deals with everything. Knowing the destination allows me to enjoy the journey.

Honestly song of ice and fire is not a particularly "happy" series.... There are moments of joy and happiness and beauty but overall its pretty gritty and visceral.

And honestly all the people moaning about robb need to chill. You forget that there are still four starks and a snow out there....what happens to them is muuuuch more interesting than anything robb would have been involved in.

Jon and Arya are infinitely more interesting than Robb. Bran and Sansa are annoying to me, but I'm willing to keep an open mind that they become interesting at some point. Rickon is a fucking blank slate that I hope they do SOMEthing with eventually.

I get that some people haven't read the books. But this is season three, so you already know that major characters can and do die. And if the Red Wedding totally took you aback, did you just completely miss all of the development and foreshadowing this season?
And did you think Melisandre's curse last episode meant nothing? The woman queefs demons out of her vajay-jay. She don't play.
