Umm you probably mentioned it somewheres, but what cap value are you using with the tone? Also at which fret space did you place the pickup, cause it looks a little far back to me....

Well, I was going to use a tone knob, but after playing it for a solid 3 hours with just a 250k volume knob I realized it sounded perfect and I didn't need a tone knob since I never really used one anyways.

And I'm not sure of the fret spacing on the pickup itself, the cavity was precut in the body so it just dropped in. I think it looks a little weird cause I don't have a pickup ring around it like I've seen most humbuckers...

Here is the most recent mockup, found a little bit of aluminum that I stuck over the bridge to mock up the Glendale that is coming in. Also going to be getting a black control plate because that's all that Guitar Fetish had, but it'll simply be drilled for Volume/output jack

Thank you!! Black control plate just got here today. Going to drill it after a while... Going to put the volume knob where the 3 way switch would be, the jack all the way on the opposite side, and leave room for another knob and a possible toggle in case I do decide on piezo bridge

This is gonna be a killer build. love telemasters.

What about the piezo pickup? Howzabout seperate volume pots and on/off toggles for each pickup. That way you could blend the piezo/p90 to taste....

Yeah, I'm thinking if I do end up going with the piezo in the bridge that I'll have a second volume control and a 3 way switch to go between the 2 pickups, so it could be just 90, or just piezo, or both of them in the middle position!

Thanks man! Those Costello Jazzmasters sure are pretty, so that is a big compliment!

So I drilled the black jackplate and don't like it. It doesn't look nearly as good as chrome. I'll just stick with the chrome control plate now especially if I end up with the piezo bridge. Going to get a piezo disc tomorrow and try some stuff out. Need to get smaller pots. I hate to go down from full size, but the control cavity is so damn tight with them

The chrome plate will look ok, even without a switch in it.

Curious to see/hear how the piezo bridge turns out!

Yeah, I think the chrome just looks a whole lot better as well. I think tomorrow I'm going to get a piezo from Radioshack and wire it up and see how it works before I invest time into really trying to install it under the newer bridge. Hopefully it's as easy as putting a large piece of aluminum tape over it directly under the no-pickup bridge, but I'll find out I guess. I'm REALLY not wanting to do the whole active piezo thing.

Thanks dude! I'm having a ton of fun with it. Can't wait for it to be finished because its SUPER comfortable to play

That's so nice! I want to do one next! But alas, I'm saving to travel your continent - if only for a short time, haha!
