Wasp filter bruv. First module I bought and the only one that's lasted this long.

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
I absolutely love my Koma SVF201; from super smooth and harmonic to absolutely gnarly.
The Wasp is my only other filter and it's also amazing. I don't think I'd ever sell it eitherbob the r0bot wrote:Wasp filter bruv. First module I bought and the only one that's lasted this long.
Huh, cool, didn't know that.Warpsmasher wrote:4 Roland FX, 2 Trogotronics (m277 and m679). Also Mother 32. The Trogs still have to be plugged into the busboard, the adapters just make them bypass the main +12v rail.MrNovember wrote:I didn't know there were any modules with their own power adaptors
Delay/reverb/grainfreezythings are totally my jam. Clouds is amazing; I highly recommend it and Rings. They pair so well! Also, it's not stereo, but I love my Chronoblob as well; by far one of the most insteresting delays I've ever messed with. I've been eyeing the Black Hole too. It looks pretty great and I'd love to pair it with a couple Pico Drums. And another not stereo, but I've been eyeing the Ginko Sampleslicer too. I honestly haven't even looked at the Rainmaker; it's just so big and expensiveWarpsmasher wrote:I can cover a lot of the lofi junky stuff too, but I still want it for the awesome chorus sounds and CV controls. The waveform blending feature is fucking awesome. I also love that the fuzz factory has the db switch - just like the plague bearer. Ideally I want one stereo delay/reverb/grainfreezything for with each fuzz/distortion/preamp, so on the back burner I'm eyeing DPLR, Dub Jr. II, T-Rackonizer, Clouds, Spectre, Black Hole, Erbe, Verbtronic, black Doepfer, etc. Rainmaker and Demora are both great, but together only cover about a third of my full dream level ambience needs.

Man, I could do that quicker in wood. That is a tedious looking boring process. Nice, strong cardboard ain't that much cheaper.
Scrap metal and pop rivets is even better.

It's a nice exemple of how you can make one but I think he took it to extreme lengths I wouldn't. I would have stopped at the raw cardboard case with the rails

Yeah, decent cases without power are cheap enough that this kind of stuff doesn't make sense (especially when you consider the prices of individuals modules) except for someone short on money and who DIYs most of their stuff...

Can't watch the video but from the thumb it looks kind of like the "got modular if you want it" thing the O Coast has.

It's a new Bastl modular. I haven't seen the video either but I bet it'll go well with the Granny

Re: Can we talk about modular synths?
I'm inches away from ordering one even though I already have enough stuff because Bastl do cool stuff an this is small enough to stay in my bag all the time...

Finally got a chance to watch that video. It seems to pair really well with the Pocket Operator. Pretty tempted, but I really don't NEED one...

Haha what percentage of the time do we actually NEED any of these things? I'd say probably 5-10% for me

Hate the reliance on disposable batteries on these small synths. Makes me not want to get one ever.

I agree that disposable batteries are pretty shitty, but you could just buy a set of rechargeable ones?Inconuucl wrote:Hate the reliance on disposable batteries on these small synths. Makes me not want to get one ever.
