Summit clips were Tasty indeed :thumb: I'd like to get my mits on one of those and mess around with it. Can you get us a demo where you show the different sounds you can get? Full rig sounds great so of course it would be killer if you used that for it.

Tony, no wereMike shirts. Merch seemed pretty depleted, I actually didn't buy anything at this show. Crazy.

Fucking awesome time tonight. Got to see Darrens place and I now have a new goal of having a work area as nice and organized as his is. Mine's a mess on top of a disaster area.

I was hoping Mike would make the trip up from Portland and he did! Fucking killer show with Aaron from RF joining Helms Alee for a song and getting to hear Dawn Rising was the shit. Good fucking night.

In your experience, does the Iron Horse sound like a Rat? Basically I'm asking if I sell the Iron Horse, should I look for another Rat, or will I get more of the same from any Rat variant?

Summit, those clips were awesome, especially the Doom Bloom.

Recently started listening to Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats. Good shit. Anyone else on board with them?

Ha thanks! I'm actually not a coach, but rather the athletic trainer for a high school in Nashville. We're the Raiders which coincidentally was my high school mascot as well so I have a special place in my heart for the teams.

Still very cool :thumb:

I love Uncle Acid! This is the one that got me into them and is also why I want to incorporate projection into the bands bag of tricks.

Uncle Acid is fun, but they're just ripping off the various Filmore West projector groups.

I'm ok with being derivative. That stuff goes back to the 60's. It looked cool then and it still does. Way better than various colored spot lights that are everywhere. My thought on it is to have a digital projection setup and play patterns, liquid light and film as appropriate for each song. I know it's not anything that has not been done but I think it would make for a cooler experience.

Oh definitely. Tool does/did that to great effect, as did Neurosis for a while.

Yeah, their stuff is out of control. Last time a saw perfect circle they had projection and aerialists from Cirque du Solei. It was actually more interesting than the music sadly enough. Ideally I'd like to set up some stuff that we could control from the stage and doesn't require and operator, and not spend tons doing it. So ... uhm .... Yeah, thats kinda on the back burner. But if I see a cheap projector I want to scoop it.

Been away, long work days and vomiting babies...too much birthday cake little one.

Doom Bloom clip is sex, thanks a heap fr posting that one man! I only had a quick listen to it last night, and it won't work on my iPad, but it sounded pretty gnarly.

Projectors is cool, I don't care if it's been done, I love seeing that shit, and yeah, it certainly makes seeing bands more of an experience, so to speak.

Listening to Elder's first record in my car before I start work. So many killer riffs, especially for dudes who were, what, sixteen at the time? I'm glad he changed his singing style, though.

Also, I get to take a client to see Kylesa in December :doom:
Hopefully he digs it enough to stick around and doesn't get freaked out by the crowd.

Other than that, it was hot and humid as shit here yesterday, then a series of storm cells blew though, cooled shit down.
Hello, summer.
